Founding member and Head of Save Sharda Committee, Ravinder Pandita is the activist, reclaimed and renovated more than 15 ancient temples in Kashmir, that are running 24x7 presently. Recipient of J&K Republic Day 2023 award for social reform and empowerment. Recipient of 1st Amateur Journalist award for journalism in J&K IN 1991. Ravinder Pandita is a Civil Engg graduate from NIT Srinagar with PG in Business Admin. and industrial relations. Worked as sports anchor for AIR Srinagar and Doordarshan Srinagar and an approved hockey commentator for doordarshan Srinagar, Sports journalist for Daily Kashmir Times, Sportstar magazine (The Hindu group), The Sun tabloid (Tej group), Daily Srinagar and other national dailies. Co-founder of first monthly magazine from Jammu in English called Jammu Panorama. Member of KECSS, AIKS (All India Kashmiri Samaj), Institute of valuers, Institute of engineers (India).
We have raised a civil society of more than 150 members in India and across LOC in POK that is working in tandem with us. For the first time since partition, flowers were laid at Sharda Peeth by civil society members of POK in 2016. In 2017, A photograph of Sharda Devi was installed in temple. In 2020, Sindoor was applied inside the Peeth. In 2021, A portrait of Swami Nandlal and Sharda Mata was installed in Sharda Peeth by civil society memeber across LOC. In 2022, civil society members performed a pooja at Sharda Peeth on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri. In 2023 Diwali, civil society members across LOC tried to share sweets near newly built Sharda Yatra Temple, Teetwal.
